They'll All come out to meet us When we come!

I've spent the day packing clothes, food, doing laundry and cleaning the car to get ready for our camping trip this weekend. I've only got two things left to do before we leave... Blog and pack my painting gear! Since i haven't had much time to work on any artwork for awhile I thought I would post something that not many of you have seen.

For Jun: It's 8x10 watercolor on 300 lb paper with black gouahe background accents.

It's a magnolia blossom. I painted it from a photo I stole off the internet somewhere. Just look at it, it was begging to be painted. I've got several disks full of my own magnolia photos that are begging to be painted but unfortunately I have more reference photos than I have time at the moment. Soon I'll get to them. Real soon. I wish Everyone a nice hot, fun, cool, relaxing, productive, and delicious weekend. Go out and roast something over a fire, it will do wonders for you. I'm going to be roasting lots of stuff over the fire for the next couple days and perhaps even roasting my buns on the beach...ahhh. Don't worry you'll be seeing lots of pictures. Of the holiday, not my 'roasted buns'. Hugs & charcoal briquettes ~jen BTW: My sis will be posting something on my blog this weekend- it's artwork I did for her, come by and check it out!!
